Hiking and climbing to the top of Olympus!

This route is in general, relaxing (compared to the two days) and very interesting, since we share the hours of hiking (unlike the "classic" two days), we have several hours of rest for sleep and good company, and finally, we can see two sides of the mountain, making a "circle", returning to about the same point where we started. It also gives us the opportunity to try for the top of Mytikas in another - later time than planned, as if the weather does not allow us, we have the opportunity to try on Saturday afternoon or even Sunday morning.

Friday noon 12:00:

Departure from Thessaloniki. Arrival in Prionia and starting point (after an hour of preparing backpacks and equipment) for the path, to the shelter A 'Spilios Agapitos (2,100m - Zolota). Travel time: about 3 hours. Overnight in the shelter, rest with good food and good company!

Saturday morning 07:00:

Departure from a shelter to the peaks (Mytika for those who are capable and Skala - Skolio or Plateau of the Muses for the rest). Travel time: about 3 hours. Late at noon arrival at the shelter Giosos Apostolidis (2,697m). Total hiking duration: 5-6 hours. Rest and short afternoon walk on the surrounding peaks or on the plateau.

Sunday morning:

We suggest you get up early! The photos you will take - before the sun rises for good - will be unique! Opportunity to search patiently and opposite the rocks ... You will discover that the face of Zeus is clearly formed looking to the sea !!!

Otherwise, enjoy a relaxed wake-up call, and your breakfast with a wonderful view of the surrounding peaks, the throne of Jupiter and the sun rising in front of you like you have never seen it before! Our return to shelter Petrostrouga and place Gortsia at 10:00. Its duration is about 5 hours.

*NOTE: The top is not an end in itself! We will reach the top of Mytika only if the weather allows and only those who are able to attempt it. The tour leader has the right not to allow the ascent to the top to a person who either does not follow the instructions or deems that he is not able to complete the attempt to the top. Everyone's safety is everything!

Due to covid -19, there are the following differences compared to previous years, in the "pre covid" time:
