Hiking the Bridges & villages of Zagori
Activity Description
The hike to the bridges and villages of Zagori is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hikes! Our hike starts from the village of Kipoi. The route passes imposing stone, arched bridges of the 17th-18th century, such as the single-arched bridge of Pistionis, the bridge of Mylos, and the three-arched bridge of Plakidas. We tour the village of Koukouli and if we want we can visit the Lazaridis Folklore Museum.
The museum is housed in the traditional house of its creator, Kostas Lazaridis, who lovingly collected all the rare flora of Vikos. The visitor can admire a multitude of medicinal plants that thrive in the area and learn about the miraculous profession of the famous "Vico-doctors".
After our tour of the village of Koukouli, we descend the "Staircase of Koukouli" towards the village of Kipoi, closing our beautiful circle.
