2-day hike in Flega Lakes, Valia Kalda, Dragon Lake Verlinga
Activity Description
Spring experience in the enchanting Flega Lakes and Valia Kalda and on Sunday in the wonderful Verlinga.
Itinerary:
Friday
Departure from Athens, Corinth, Patras upon arrangement.
Saturday
We will explore all the magical sights of the core and the Flegra Lakes.
We will approach the snowy alpine area of Mount Mavrovouni and the stunning landscape with thunderstruck rock formations. After reaching the peak and the lakes, we will descend towards the core and Arkoudorema, where our vehicles will be waiting to take us through the rest of the valley.
Activity duration: 10 hours (6 hours of hiking), distance: 14 km.
The excursion is of moderate difficulty and requires a basic level of physical fitness.
For those who do not wish to complete the entire hike, they can choose to do a shorter hike up to Arkoudorema, following the vehicles. This option is suitable for children as well.
Sunday
We will visit the most beautiful alpine plateau of the country. After approaching the village of Haliki from Anilio, we will climb Peristeri as close as possible to the destination and with as much hiking as necessary to the wonderful Verlinga. From there anyone who wishes can approach the peaks of Tsoukarela (2295) and Mega Trapo (2150).
Estimated hike to the lake an hour and a half and to the peaks from there an additional hour and a half.
Total hiking time 5 hours, distance: 8km (hikes will depend on mountain conditions).
General Information:
- We provide participants with trekking poles, waterproof gear, light snacks during the hike, and personal insurance.
- Each individual should have appropriate sportswear, sturdy sports shoes, a small backpack, water, and any other personal items they may need (t-shirt, towel, etc.).
- In case weather conditions do not allow for an excursion, there is always an alternative program.
- Accommodation and meals are not included in the cost.
- For transportation in our 8-seater minivan, there is an extra charge of €30 per person.

Cancellation policy
- Cancellation 7 days or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
- Cancellation between 3 and 7 days prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
- Cancellation 3 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
* If the activity is canceled by the activity provider (due to weather, non-completion of minimum entries, force majeure, etc.), the price of your activity, is refunded in full.
