2day Canyoning in Tzoumerka (Pili Paradisou and Stavraetos) on 7/30-31
Activity Description
A 2-day descent to Tzoumerka on 30-31/07/22.
These are the two most remarkable gorges of the wider area, Pili Paradisou in Kalarrites and Stavraitos in Sirrakos.
A few words about the canyons
Pili Paradisou (meaning Gate of Paradise) is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful gorges in Greece and Europe.
A heavenly landscape that will leave you speechless admiring the imposing waterfalls and the beautiful clear blue lakes.
The locals call it "Karlibou", and it is an important feeder of the Kalarritikos river.
The amount of water in the canyon is increased and you should have done at least one descent with a lower degree of difficulty. Access to its bed is by following a 15-minute downhill path. For the technical part of the crossing we will need 5 hours, while river trekking follows on the Kalarritiko River for another 1.30 hours to the exit point. It follows a 20-minute trail
In total it has 9 waterfalls (max 25m), and several dives.
The gorge of Stavraitos or Bozia is located right before the beautiful Sirrakos. A little water runs through it in the summer months with its sources located on Mount Peristeri and below Priza peak. The entrance is made from the 1st stone bridge before the village. During the descent we come across the impressive vertical waterfall of 50 meters. Then the gorge will join the Chrousia river, in an environment of unspoiled beauty. The return to the village is by River Trekking through Chrousia and we follow the beautiful path that joins Sirrakos with Kalarrites

It is possible to participate in the activities separately, you can book separately by choosing the day you want.

Participation:
Registrations (subject to availability) up to 3 days before the start.
To participate in the canyoning activity, you will need the following:
- Relatively good physical condition
- Mood for hiking
- Basic knowledge of swimming
- And of course there should be no symptoms of height phobia or acrophobia.
