Three days of Holy Spirit Drakolimni Tymfi – Vikos Gorge 2/6-5/6
Activity Description
During the three days of the Mountains, we will do the two hikes in Zagori. The spring Drakolimni and the wonderful Gorge.
Program:
Destination: Zagori
Departure: 07:00
Return: 17:00
Friday: Departure from Corinth - Patras
Saturday: Departure for the shelter of Tymfi and Drakolimni. We start from the small Papigo and after a short route through the forest, we climb to the Tymfi Alps. During the climb to the refuge and with the necessary breaks we will admire Astraka and Zagori from above.
A good break at the refuge and then in 1.2 hours we will enjoy the view of Lakka Aou and Gamila from Drakolimni. After enjoying the area with as much time as we need we will start the return to the refuge and the village.
- The level of the excursion is difficult
- The total distance is 16 km
- Total altitude over 1200 m.
- The excursion is suitable for children over 14 years old.
Sunday: We will cross the Vikos gorge from Monodendri to Vikos. Hiking the world's deepest canyon is an experience that takes you back in time and the forces that created this natural wonder.
We will start from Monodendri with an easy hike, we will admire the Mega Lakko and all the beauties of the imposing landscape, we will bathe in the springs of Voidomatis (whoever can stand) and we will finish in the village of Vikos.

- Altitude difference 400 m
Monday: We will admire the gorge from Beloi position, we will go down the staircase of Bravetos, will visit the main bridges in South Zagori, and will take the way back.
- Hiking duration 3 hours.
- Easy route
Important information:
- To the participants, we provide a walking stick, waterproof, light snack midway, and personal insurance.
- Individually, everyone must have the appropriate sports clothing, sturdy sports shoes, a small bag and water, and whatever else they individually need (shirt, towel, etc.).
- If some people wish to do one of the two hikes, they can go rafting in Voidomati.
- In case the weather conditions do not allow an excursion there is always an alternative program.
- The cost does not include overnight accommodation and food.
- For transportation with our 8-seater minivan, an extra charge of €30 per person.

- Cancellation 3 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
