Boating on Lake Kerkini
Activity Description
A tour with the boat is a unique opportunity to enjoy the magic of Lake Kerkini while learning about the fauna, flora, and history of the area. The boats used for the tour are the traditional lakes of Lake Kerkini. Their size is much larger than that of fishing boats, they have a capacity of 18 people, they are faster and they move with a low-noise outboard engine. They are aesthetically very beautiful and are made entirely of wood with the traditional technique of our grandparents. They have a cover to protect us from the sun in summer and from the rain in autumn and winter. They are led by experienced boatmen who are also very well acquainted with the flora and fauna of Lake Kerkini...
The routes we follow are two and depend on the season:
Spring - Summer (March-August)
- Starting point: Kerkini Port
- Route: Prydatio Forest (Strymon river delta) We see birds in their nests. Unique spectacle.
- Duration: 90 '.
We also provide boat tours with longer duration, a special interest for photographers, and bird watchers. In terms of security, we note that lifebuoys used by the Travel The Center are used. The boats serve groups and individual visitors daily and all days of the week regardless of the season.
Autumn Winter
- Starting point: Kerkini Port
- Route: A tour of the large concentrations of flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants. We see a very large number of birds. Duration: 75 '.

- Cancellation 72 hours or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
- Cancellation between 24 hours and 72 hours prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement
- Cancellation 24 hours or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected
* If the activity is canceled by the activity provider (due to weather, non-completion of minimum entries, force majeure, etc.), the price of your activity, is refunded in full.
