What is Canyoning
It is a gorge crossing following its riverbed, which often requires rock climbing with ropes and technical means, swimming in the gorge river, water jumps and slides. All this in one word is called Canyoning (which is the most common term internationally) or in Greek, Technical Canyon Crossing.
Mega Rema in Mouzaki, Karditsa is a small but beautiful gorge with many round pedestals and rocks like sculptures from the water. The stream starts at an altitude of 800 meters and ends at the Pamisos river at 200 meters. The gorge starts like a ravine (from there it got its name), but after a while its beauty unfolds with large rocks and high verticality. The gorge is waiting for us to explore, promising continuous rappels in a unique natural environment and endless play in its waterfalls!
