The Medieval Town of Rhodes is a unique sight. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 - but it is also a bustling city. It is one of the very few living states of the medieval world that has never been deserted and never abandoned in its history. On the contrary, it remains mysterious, atmospheric and lively.
A resident licensed guide passionately regales you with the finer details of key attractions such as the Palace of the Grand Master, the grandiose castle with its enormous towers, the Street of the Knights, the most famous road in the Old Town of Rhodes, the Church of Our Lady of the Castle and the Rhodes Jewish Museum. A small break for coffee and ice-cream (or crepes) at Socrates Street helps absorb the load of information about past civilizations.
