Explore the fir-covered trails and alpine landscapes of Ziria on a circular route that combines natural beauty, history, and panoramic views!
This circular route takes you to the heart of one of Greece's most exciting and mysterious landscapes. It starts in the dense forest of Varnevo, an area rich in fir trees and the sounds of nature, which immediately gives you the feeling of escape. As you ascend, the landscape gradually transforms, revealing the Ziria plateau—a breathtaking alpine treasure.
The plateau stretches out majestically, with earthy hues, scattered trees, and pastures reminiscent of a movie scene. The view embraces the peaks of Ziria and the neighboring mountains, giving a sense of vastness and freedom.
From the plateau, the route leads to the valley of Flabouritsa, one of the most enchanting natural formations in the area. Green dominates, with plane trees, streams, and meadows creating a peaceful and rejuvenating setting. Flambouritsa is a Natura 2000 area, a refuge for rare flora and fauna and one of the most characteristic landscapes of Ziria.
The return to Varnevo completes the circle of this authentic hiking experience, full of unforgettable images.
