Activity Description

Hiking in our favorite mountain starts and we are waiting for you to discover the rich flora and fauna that lives (literally) next to Athens!

A few words about our adventure ...

Just 50 minutes from Athens, the mountainous air of Parnitha clears the mind and awakens the senses. We walk through the fir trees and the pines on a passable path of well-preserved paths without steep slopes and inaccessible places, which is recommended for everyone. Next to experienced escorts, we will learn to "read" the tracks of the animals and understand their behavior in the forest. Deer, wild boars, crickets, and 34 other species of mammals and 131 species of birds live here.

The flora with about 1,100 species of plants, is considered equally fascinating: during our course, we will see large and impressive woody mushrooms sprouted on the trunks, we will become aware learning about baby fir leaves while in spring the wildflowers will captivate us..

We will make stops at springs and places where the view reaches as far as eastern Attica and the southern Evian Gulf. At the end of the journey, you will feel filled with the knowledge of the treasures hidden next to us and you will definitely be more attached to your companions. Elements that make the activity of a simple hike magical!

The final stop, after the appetite has opened, is a mountain shelter at an altitude of 1,161 m., Where bean soup, village sausage, spaghetti with minced meat and many other homemade delicacies are served, enjoying the view outside the courtyard to the peaks that "pierce" the clouds or inside, in the warm hall in front of the fireplace.

10:00 - 10:30 Arrival in Parnitha at the Buffy shelter.
Hiking and guided tour of the National Park. Stops of interest (running springs and gazebos with endless views)
14:00 Return to the Buffy Shelter for coffee or food (optional)

Cancellation between 24 hours and 72 hours prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement
Cancellation 24 hours or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected
