Rafting in Venetikos & Aliakmonas! A fascinating raft into the lush nature of Northern Greece!
Between Meteora and Grevena, in an environment of unique natural beauty, the rivers Venetikos and Aliakmonas join, creating the right conditions for exciting rafting descents for lovers of action and nature!
Meeting point in Felli Grevenon, where we prepare for Rafting in Venetiko & Aliakmonas. We collect and put on our equipment and board vehicles to be transported to the starting point of the rafting. After a detailed demonstration of safety rules and abseiling techniques, we are ready to go!
Our route offers many fun moments in a unique natural landscape, surrounded by sandstone rocks, similar to those of Meteora and forests with giant plane trees! We paddle between exciting river passages and stop for dips and water play! During our descent, we will have the opportunity to observe the unique fauna of birds and mammals of the wetland, such as cormorants, herons, and otters.
At the end of our route, we meet again the vehicles that will take us back to the base, completing our beautiful experience.
The rafting descent takes place in the Venetiko and Aliakmona rivers, at a distance of 45' from Meteora and 15' from Grevena. The degree of difficulty varies according to the season and the river level with the rapids ranging from first to third degree.
