Bus Safari & archery in Kissavos

Crossing the mountain range by bus and climbing to the top of Kissavos.

River crossings, walking on forest roads, visiting the mansions of the area, the monasteries, and other attractions that we encounter along the way, amidst dense vegetation and enchanting landscapes with the sea as a background.

Indicative route:

• Velika - Agiokambos - Agia - Metaxochori (village of artists) - Megalovryso - Anatoli.

Our hike to the top of the mountain is 1.30 hours uphill and 1 hour downhill.

Here, after a stop in the picturesque and beautiful square of the village, a visit to the multinational nunnery of Anatoli is required, where the nuns will very hospitably welcome us with a local drink, alongside a chat with us. They will take us on a tour of the monastery grounds where, with great effort and effort, they produce and standardize all the products and herbs that we find in Kissavos.

We continue to Spilia (the most mountainous village of Kisavos) on a dirt track.

In 16 km we reach Kanalos, where the Kissavos mountain refuge is located.

From here begins the climb to the top of the mountain at 1978m.

Peaks of Olympus, Thermaikos, Athos, and Sporades are the views that will captivate us from the top.

The special thing we find here is that the 1978 meters are the roof of the small church of Prophet Ilias which is dug under our feet and used to be a guerrilla hideout.

From the alpine landscape, we will choose a green beautiful route to Arioprino - Karitsa - Kokkino Nero.

• Our hike to the top of the mountain is 1.30 hours uphill and 1 hour downhill.
