The Long Pelion Trail is an inspiration and idea of Nikolaos Maggitsis. It has shaped it's identity and character in the last 2 years and now it is time for you to get to know it.
8 days of hiking on beautiful paths in the green landscape of Pelion between two seas, enjoying the beauty that this place gives us, we meet people with common interests and beautiful habits on unique cobbled streets and rural roads covered by tall beeches.
The relief and the landscape of the route are characterized as a whole from sea to peaks and again sea crossing green areas with beeches and ravines with dense vegetation. In the southern part the low vegetation gives a special beauty, walking for most of the route in the shade.
The mountain is suitable for maintaining safe distances during the hike, so that its realization was possible, in the difficult period we are going through.
Schedule :
Day 1: Kamari - Veneto
Hiking duration: 4.5 hours + 450m, -300m
Day 2: Veneto - Makrinitsa
Hiking duration: 8 hours + 2000m, -1000m
Day 3: Makrinitsa - Chania
Hiking duration: 4 hours + 500m, -100m
Day 4: Chania - Damouchari
Hiking duration: 7 hours + 550m, -1000m
Day 5: Damouchari (Rest Day)
Hiking duration: 1.5 hours (optional afternoon walk to the village of Agios Ioannis)
Day 6: Damouchari - Milies
Hiking duration: 6.5 hours + 900m, -250m
Day 7: Milies - Afissos
Hiking duration: 4.5 hours + 330m, -600m
Day 8: Afissos - Lafko
Hiking duration: 5.5 hours + 700m, -400m
Day 9: Lafko - Platanias
Hiking duration: 3 hours + 200m, -580m

- Cancellation between 7 and 14 days prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
