It all started in May 1978 when the Dassia Ski Club was founded on the enchanting Dassia beach. It is one of the first water sports centers in Greece and still continues its gradual development. The beach is only 10 km away from the city center, on the northeastern coast of the island with quite easy access.

The narrow beach is covered with pebbles and has some sandy parts too. It has plenty of shops extending along with it and is an ideal destination for both families and younger tourists. The waters of Dassia Bay are crystal clear, serene and quite shallow, just perfect for relaxing and fun vacation. The wind blows at low volumes, making the sea suitable for sea sports.
