Activity Description
Katholiko Gorge is located on the North coast of Chania and it is an easy and short gorge that ends on a beautiful rocky beach.
Famous for his pastoral life developing inside the gorge over the ages, and the spiritual life of the Monks has left a mark all over the area. In the middle of the gorge, there is the abandoned Monastery of Agios Ioannis, a place that takes us back in time to the previous years of the holy life of the place.
That is the reason this excursion is unique, combined with easy and pleasant hiking through a magnificent gorge, with a part of the history of Crete around monasticism, religion, and myth.
