If anyone could sum up Cretan nature in one place, it would be the Samaria Gorge. Dense vegetation in its bed and imposing surrounding it. Running waters, rocks and an elegy of Cretan flora fill your eyes and soul.
On the peaks, you can see almost all the avifauna of the Cretan countryside nesting on the steep slopes, and if we are lucky, you can see up close the Cretan ibex, the famous Kri-Kri.
