Hiking in the Voidomatis Gorge! An amazing opportunity for everyone to enjoy the beauties of this unique area! The Vikos-Aoos National Park, which joined the European Geoparks Network of UNESCO in 2010, includes an extremely rare and sensitive ecosystem and is characterized by huge biodiversity!
Hiking in the Vikos Gorge follows a well-carved and passable path on the banks of the river Voidomatis, in the heart of the Vikos-Aoos National Park. We start at the western exit of the famous Gorge of Vikos, at the Aristi Bridge. We pass through centuries-old plane trees, alders and other trees that compose a magnificent setting. Along this three-hour route we discover the shallow caves (rock roofs), which were inhabited by primitive people in prehistoric times. Numerous stone tools and bones from animals that were their prey have been found in these caves. Our route also passes through the charming church of Agioi Anargyroi, which dates back to the 17th century. Our path ends after the single-arched bridge of Klidonia at our base.

Itinerary
- 10:00 Meeting with your companion at the Aristis-Papigou bridge, welcome and briefing
- 10:15 Start of hiking
- 11:30 Visit to the monastery of Ag. Anargyron
- 13:00 Arrival in Klidonia, end of hiking at the base of Trekking Hellas Ioannina and local transfer to the starting point
