Tour Description
- Our hike begins by crossing the picturesque village of the Municipality of Meteora, Kastraki, and reaching the ruins of the Pantokratoros Holy Monastery, on the northern side of the Doupiani rock.
- Then, having crossed a green forest full of plants, we will be driven to the renovated Ypapanti alone and to the abandoned monastery of Agios Dimitrios. If you wish, you can visit the Ypapanti Monastery inside (it is only open Monday-Friday).
- Next, we reach the top of the Sacred Rocks of Meteora and continue with the internal visit to a monastery, either the Holy Monastery of Varlaam or the Great Meteoron.
- Gradually, the tour comes to an end as we start to descend towards Kastraki, where we will see the cave where the old Holy Monastery of Agios Georgios of Mantila was located. You will witness a rare custom.
- And just like that, we are back at the starting point, from where a minibus will pick us up for the return to the meeting point.

Visitors and pilgrims are required to follow a dress code to enter the monasteries.
- Women must wear a skirt (reaching below the knee) and have their shoulders covered.
- Men must wear long pants (preferably) or shorts (reaching below the knee) and have their shoulders covered as well.
