Hiking to the southern beaches
Why not take advantage of the proximity and visit the south coast? This part of the island is called the Wild Crete or "the other Crete", beyond the mountains, far from the hotels and summer crowds...After 45 minutes drive from Rethymno we will arrive at Plakias and explore this beautiful region, starting with a short hike of about two hours and a half. We will discover an exceptional part of the south coast of the island, by going around the Plakias peninsula while overlooking to the Libyan Sea. Even in August we will be away from the crowds... and hike this beautiful part of the island pretty much alone.

Choose the waters you'll dive in!
Olive groves, rock formations, cliffs and fantastic views are waiting for you on this flexible day, where swimming can take place wherever you like, on beautiful beaches with very few people, as you walk along on the side. Time to stretch your body and enjoy swimming at the splendid crystal clear deep blue waters of South Crete! What is best than enjoying an isolated beach all by yourself?

Cretan lunch by the Libyan sea
Of course, lunch is planned in a small tavern with the most gorgeous sea view in the region, in order to enjoy a genuine meal just like the Cretans do. Fresh fish on the grill with refreshing dry wine, made by local grape varieties, and the waves under your feet... it doesn't get more relaxing than this. After lunch we will start our way back to Rethymno.
