Love hiking and at the same time exploring old abandoned buildings and learning the history behind them? Join us for Hiking in Rhodes.
Let’s get together and start hiking on one of the most fabulous trails on this island. Leave behind the craziness of the city and connect with nature.
We will take the trail uphill through a dense forest thick is rich in vegetation, there will be shade along the way and spots with panoramic views.
Getting at the asphalted road we will arrive at a small church and the running spring water, while the church is rich in historical interest. One of the oldest chapels was built during the time of the black plague.
The route goes through the Special Protection Area where some characteristic species can be found (Buteo Rufinus, Emberiza Caesia, and the Lanner falcon !). Then we will go into the old Abandoned Italian village where we will explore every inch of the buildings, take photos and visit the lake with the one of its kind fish that you can find only in these waters.
Pick up from your Hotel – areas Faliraki, Rhodes, Ialisos, Ixia, Kolymbia, Fanes, Kremasti, Tholos. There is an extra charge of 15 per person for the transfer to and from the event. Please contact us in advance.
