Tour of Exomburgo, Tinos
Activity Description
A very interesting circular route where we have the opportunity to meet three Catholic inland villages. In Loutra we have the opportunity to visit the museum of the Monastery of Ursulina which has great folklore interest. It was founded in 1862 as a monastery by the Ursuline Order and later functioned as a girls' school, which was considered a model throughout Europe. The museum is open only during the summer months.
Then we ascend to the village of Koumaros and then we reach Exomburgo which is the 2nd largest mountain of Tinos. There we will visit the ruins of the Venetian castle and admire the view from the top of the mountain. Then the route becomes downhill where we visit the village "Xynara" which from Venetian times to the present day is the seat of the Catholic Archdiocese.
Finally, our route ends again in Loutra.
