E-bike wine tour and taste in Meteora
Activity Description
Join us for a rare opportunity to cycle to a fully operational winery. Traveling 11 km of a beautiful country road, between Koziakas mountain and the rocks of Meteora, our tourist guide will take you on electric bikes to the picturesque landscapes of the "Meteoro Winery". You'll be able to watch the grapes ripen firsthand, as well as experience stunning views of their vineyards and surrounding crops.
From vines to wines
We learn the history of the vineyards of ancient Falorea and Meteora, as well as the various stages of the grape growing season, from bud break to harvest. We will see the steps involved in exporting delicious wines. Choose, taste, and enjoy your favorite wines.
Schedule
- Meeting in the center of Kalambaka. We select and prepare our bikes and equipment.
- The guide will accompany you on a 3-hour cycling tour, a visit to vineyards, and a wine tasting in the east of the Thessalian plain.
- We will head towards Diava, at the foot of Koziakas mountain, and after a few kilometers, we will reach the point, where you will have a guided tour of the vineyard by the owner.
- This is a good opportunity to introduce you to the different types of Meteora wines.
- We will learn about the grape varieties, the soil, and why the wines of Meteora are so unique and excellent!
- A local producer will open his winery for a visit.
- A delightful wine-tasting with meal awaits you, accompanied by Greek delicacies, overlooking the stunning view of the vineyards and cliffs of Meteora. You will taste 3 different wines and a spirit (Tsipouro) of the region and then breadsticks, local cheese, ham, and more.
- If you wish, you can introduce additional wine.
- Then we will return to Kalambaka, following a different route, enjoying the panoramic view of Meteora.

Important Information:
- You must know how to ride a bicycle, as you need to pedal throughout the ride (easy pedaling)
- Riders must be more than 1.45 meters tall and weigh less than 120 kg
- Children must be over 12 years old (contact if younger, as solutions can be found)
- This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, anyone with heart complaints or other serious medical conditions, or those with back or knee problems
- Participants must not be afraid of riding on streets without a bicycle lane
- No wine tasting for kids under 18 years old
