Activity Description
Via Ferrata or the iron road is a set of fixed equipment (iron ropes, chains, bridges, ladders, etc) that are placed along the route to facilitate the ascend and descend and ensure at the same time maximum security.
A unique experience that combines climbing and hiking with intense adrenaline moments, but also with absolute safety. The many climbing routes and the people who are getting more and more involved in climbing in Crete have resulted in the creation of the one and only route Via Ferrata. In Kapetaniana, in Asterousia Mountains, South of Heraklion.
During the climb, you will be given the chance to enjoy not only the unique, rocky landscape and its beauty but also the rich flora and fauna. At some point of the route, you will cross a gorge and there are also a few steep slopes that offer an amazing view of the Libyan Sea below the mythical peak of Kofinas.
The participants must be in good physical shape and do not be afraid of heights or suffer from vertigo etc.
A little experience in climbing is required.
