Two-day Ascent to Mytika!
A wonderful route to the top of the emblematic Olympus!
The Two-Day Climb in Mytikas is certainly a unique experience in the life of a hiker. Olympus is a landmark for lovers of mountain hiking and nature and of course for those who love challenges!
A few words about our adventure ...
We cross the East Side of Olympus. Our route follows beautiful paths in the verdant environment of the mountain. Starting from Gortsia at 1,000m and following the amazing path we reach the shelter Petrostrouga at 1950m, after about 3-4 hours ..
We rest and continue for the Plateau of Muses following the air path of Skourta that will take us to the Plateau of Muses overlooking the Throne of Zeus !!! (2-3 hours)
Once we are comfortable in the shelter we will have time to enjoy the sunset from the top of Profitis Elias!
The next morning at sunrise we start for the final ascent. Following the path Zonaria we approach Louki of Mytikas where the ascent to the top will take place. Then we return to the Plateau and from there to Gorzia after a magical two days on the mountain of the Gods.

Program:
DAY 1: Gortsia-Petrostrouga-Plateau of Muses
- 09:00 am: Meeting in the Central Square of Litochoro and departure by car for Gortisa 1,100m.
- 10:00 am: We start the hike following the mountaineering path, which leads us after 3 hours to the Petrostrougas Shelter 1950m
- Rest in the shelter and departure for Plateau of Muses
- 17:00 pm: Arrival at the Plateau of Muses 2700m where we spend the night. The view from the shelter to Litochoro and the sea is wonderful. While on the other hand we enjoy the Throne of Zeus and the surrounding peaks. The unique colors of the sunset accompany us !! from the top Profitis Elias.
2nd day of Mytikas-Plateau of Muses-Gortsia
- 06:30 am: Waking up in the morning, breakfast, and preparation for the ascent to the peaks of Olympus. In case you do not have breakfast due to the very early departure, it is good to have a snack with you from the previous night.
- 07:00 am: From the shelter, we follow the path Zonaria to Louki where we will approach Mytika.
We put on our equipment and climb to the top.
Return to the Muse Plateau, rest, and return from the same path Petrostrouga and then Gortsia (4-5 hours)
The driver/escort of the program reserves the discretion to modify the program for safety reasons, reasons for non-compliance with the schedule or non-compliance with the climbing rules by the participants.

Cancellation policy
- Cancellation 7 days or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
- Cancellation between 3 and 7 days prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
- Cancellation 3 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
