This particular diving point is the main dock station of the boat on the uninhabited island of Paximadi.

It is 8 miles from the diving center and can only be reached by boat.

The beach offers easy access to the water for beginner divers.

The seabed is rocky with fragments of neptune and sand.

Diving in the shipwreck BYRON 1 in southern Crete

Activity Description

This diving spot is located 13 miles from the base of Mare Sud and is accessible by boat and car. This is a sandy beach with a maximum depth of 12 meters. At 150 meters from the shore and at a depth of 11 meters is a carcass that covers an area of one acre. The wreck hosts marine life of tropical species such as the lionfish. There are open swim through and several points of interest of the ship.

The visibility is very good, up to 20 meters.

There are no currents and the water temperature is 26 C.
