Wherever you look at her, she stands there to surprise you with her beauty !!

1743 meters its height and yet it is so imposing, probably due to the large top (500 meters) in width. Perhaps this would have caught the attention of Hera and decided there to rest there everybody who left Olympus. So in ancient times they had set an altar on the top for the sacrifices in her honor.

Sleeping volcano says some. They talk about craters, it is dolines that fool you!

So we will follow the path that leads to the top to enjoy this magnificent view that generously gives us every time we go up. Northern Euboean on the one hand, the Aegean Sea on the other. Dozens of peaks fill your eye, from Xirovouni, which is the closest to Parnassos somewhere away to the west.
