Our tour begins with pickup at your hotel in Trikala or Kalambaka. Our first stop is the visit to the impressive arched bridge of Pyli, located in the gorge of the Portaikos river. A remarkable architectural building built during the Byzantine era. Many trails are available in this area for beautiful walks, offering many opportunities to enjoy the tranquility and beautiful nature of the gorge.
Continuing our course, we climb the river bed until we reach the Paleokarya Waterfalls. The enchanting waterfalls located in a stunning natural setting offer the opportunity for a refreshing dip in its cool waters.
After our refreshing bath, we continue towards the imposing mountain of Koziakas. We will not miss the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful villages in the region, Elati, located in the middle of a green pine forest. Hidden under the shadow of Koziakas peak, this picturesque village offers many hiking trails, unique traditional architecture, and of course delicious local delicacies. Here you will enjoy a one-hour stop to take a walk and enjoy some traditional lunch (for an additional fee).
After our visit to the Elati area, we will explore the heart of the forest. A fairytale forest that many call the "Switzerland of Greece". The meadows of Pertouli at an altitude of 1,000 meters are truly enchanting places! We will walk through the alpine meadows or book a horse ride around the forest (at extra cost).
After Pertouli we will head to the north side of Mount Koziaka and finish our tour with a drop-off at your hotel.
