Activity Description
The jeep safari is for people who want to explore Lesvos, see the natural beauty of the island, and live an adventurous experience.
Drive through the green forests and desolated villages, sandy dunes, and beaches and see the island's historical sites. Enjoy the panoramic view from the top of the mountains. Be impressed by quaint villages and the beautiful scenery of the volcanic part of Lesvos!
From Molyvos we drive up to Klapados (an ancient village). Through a beautiful wild landscape with pine trees, great smells of herbs and ancient settlements of tribes and an abounded monastery we drive to the village of Fillia and then we take again a dust road that leads us to the viewpoint of the crater of Anemotia.
From that point, we drive straight through the crater into the village of Anemotia for a Greek coffee and afterward up again into the mountains forest. If you want to join visit the hidden chapel “Panagia krifti” in a beautiful nature area, it is a steep walk down and backs up again so please bring good walking shoes!
Continuing the way through the village of Pterounda following the lava paths to drive to the village of Liota for a local lunch. From there we follow the way along the coastline to Gavathas and Kampos, old Antissa. Through beautiful different green colors, we follow the coastline all the way back to Molyvos, and in between (if the weather allows us we have a swim in Kalo Limani).
We start at 08:30 in the morning and we are back there around 18:00 in the evening.
Please bring sun protection, a scarf, towel, swim clothing, money, driver license & minimum of 1 liter of water per person.
