The Farm Tour emerges you into the authentic farmland of Kefalonia on an e-bike (fatbike).
Highlights of this tour:
- visiting a traditional olive oil mill.
- visiting a biological farm.
Accompanied by one of our tour guides we first cycle to the olive farm, just some kilometers outside of Argostoli. We take a snaking coastal road surrounded by olive groves and old wine yards. During this tour, we introduce you to Greece’s most precious creation: olive oil. After showing you around the facilities there is a short presentation of the olive oil varieties given by an expert. We have the chance to savor the different types of olive oil. You will be surprised.
We continue our Farm Tour to another small town, about 10 minutes cycling distance. Time for the second highlight: the visit to a biological farm and traditional house built right after the 1953's earthquake. Here we get a demonstration of how to prepare the famous, aromatic mandola (ingredients: organic almonds and sugar), a typical Kefalonian food product, by a local chef. Followed by a tasting and refreshing drink, you will be shown around the biological farm and the traditional house. Don't worry, all senses will be evoked during this unique, gastronomic tour.
Time to cycle back to Argostoli by e-bike over the hill enjoying the sea view on the west side and the view on the lagoon of Koutavos on the east.
